The Bridgeway Chaplain Team provides emergency response for situations needing immediate care and support, such as an unexpected death or emergency hospitalization due to accident or illness. What do Bridgeway Chaplains do?
Bridgeway Chaplains serve as Crisis First Responders. Our Chaplains are dedicated and trained men and women who are available to support members of our church family in times of crisis. Chaplains may be called upon to minister in hospitals or homes, at funerals and memorials, and anywhere there is a need. Bridgeway Chaplains may also be called on to support other Bridgeway ministries such as the Care & Compassion Desk, Emergency Response Team, Prayer Ministry, Visitation/Telecare Team, Pastoral Care Team, special events like Memorial Services and Worship, Prayer & Healing nights, as well as Community Outreach events.
Our Chaplain Team meets once each month for team building, additional training, mutual support, and prayer. Chaplains also take shifts to cover our Chaplain Hotline number and assist callers over the phone and/or dispatch available Chaplains to visit persons in need.
