Letter from the Director

Soul Care Counseling Ministry is a beautiful representation of Bridgeway’s heart for being a conduit of God’s grace. We are professionals who believe that breakthrough, restoration, and wholeness come from God. We get to partner with Him to build safe spaces to be seen and heard, craft individualized treatment plans, and collaborate on your care in all stages and places of life.

When I started at Soul Care as a trainee, I had no idea the transformation this ministry would have on my life, even as a green therapist. To be a part of a church, department, and ministry that is Spirit-led and Scripture-soaked is both rare and radical in the world we live in today.

Serving now as the Director of Soul Care, I am constantly grateful for the opportunity to see lives changing, families reconciling, and deep, restorative work being provided. Facilitating an environment that God uses to not only train pre-licensed professionals called to the counseling arts, but also to watch how God chooses to partner with us in His love for people, is both humbling and a profound privilege.

Our heart here is simple: to reflect God’s love, grace, and renewal. Through every session, every story, and every step.

How we Establish fees

Soul Care works on a sliding scale ranging from $40-$90 per 45-minute session. We establish a fee based on monthly household income. We do not take insurance; however, we can provide a Superbill for some insurance plans that will accept it for partial reimbursement.

The care you receive at Soul Care

At Soul Care, all of our pre-licensed therapists are finishing or have obtained their master’s degree and are actively working toward state licensure under the direct supervision of experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCCs). In California, obtaining a license requires completing 3,000 clinical hours alongside rigorous training in legal, ethical, and clinical excellence. As a premier training facility, Soul Care takes pride in having successfully launched numerous skilled therapists into our local community, ensuring our clients receive compassionate, top-notch care.

The care you receive at Soul Care

At Soul Care, all our counselors share a faith in Christ while also being highly trained - seeking clinical hours to acquire California state licensure as either a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). They meet with individuals, couples, pre-marital couples, children, and families in a comfortable, private setting and are supervised by a team of licensed, clinical supervisors.

Soul Care strives to provide counseling that is affordable and accessible to the people of Bridgeway and the community. Session fees are based on a sliding scale, determined by monthly gross income and ability to pay. Soul Care is led by Morgan Richie, the Soul Care Director.

We offer clinical counseling across a wide range of needs, life stages, and populations:

  • Populations Served: Adults, Teens, Children, Couples, Pre-Marital, and Families (including Blended Families)

  • Areas of Focus: Trauma & Abuse Recovery, Grief & Loss, Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Struggles, Communication, Stress & Burnout, Self-Esteem, Parenting, Life Transitions, Postpartum Care, Overwhelming Emotions, and more. 

Many of our therapists also have specialized training in EMDR and Brainspotting.


After you complete our online intake form (which takes about 10 minutes), your information is reviewed and assigned to the therapist who best fits your specific needs. Your therapist will then reach out to you within 3 business days to discuss your goals and schedule your first appointment.

If we determine from your intake that Soul Care is not the right fit for your needs, our director will call you directly to discuss alternative care options and trusted local referrals.

Soul Care offers an affordable sliding scale ranging from $40 to $90 per session.

If you specifically require a licensed therapist, those rates generally start at $150 per hour. While our internal team consists of pre-licensed associates, we are happy to provide you with trusted local referrals for fully licensed providers.

No, Soul Care does not accept insurance directly. However, we can provide you with a Superbill, which many insurance companies accept for partial reimbursement. To determine if your plan covers out-of-network reimbursement, please contact your insurance provider directly. If you have a flexible spending account we can accept this card (FSA).

All therapists at Soul Care hold master’s degrees in counseling and are actively pursuing licensure toward Marriage & Family Therapy (LMFT), Professional Clinical Counseling (LPCC), or Clinical Social Work (LCSW) through California’s Board of Behavioral Sciences. As they work toward their required 3,000 clinical hours, all therapists undergo extensive ongoing training and weekly clinical supervision. As a premier training facility, Soul Care takes pride in having successfully launched numerous skilled therapists into our local community, ensuring our clients receive compassionate, top-notch care.

If you prefer to work with a fully licensed therapist, we are glad to connect you with trusted partners in our local network.

  • Clinical Counseling (Soul Care): We provide evidence-based mental health treatment for a diverse range of client needs. Our clinical framework assesses physical, mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being. We integrate faith strictly upon request. If requested, your therapist will come alongside you to explore how your faith intersects with your values and coping strategies; otherwise, we fully respect your preferences in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.

  • Pastoral Counseling: Pastoral care at Bridgeway offers short-term spiritual support, prayer, Biblical guidance, and a compassionate listening ear. Provided by pastors or trained lay counselors, its primary focus is supporting spiritual well-being through a Biblical foundation. Directions to the Soul Care Office

  • Parking: You’re welcome to park anywhere within the Bridgeway campus parking lot. The most convenient spots are near Building A. Park directly in front of the black gate between the buildings.

  • Locating the Gate: If you are facing the main entrance (the area with the Bridgeway sign, flagpole, and potted plants), turn right and walk toward the black gate.

  • Entering the Building: Go through the black gate and look for the door on your left marked "Soul Care Entrance" (featuring the Bridgeway logo).

  • Weekend/Holiday Access: If the door is locked, ring the doorbell or send a message to your therapist, and they will let you in.

  • Finding the Waiting Room: Once inside, follow the signs up the stairs to the Soul Care waiting room. You can send a text or email to your therapist letting them know you have arrived.

  • Accessibility: If you are in need of an elevator, please let your therapist know, and they can guide you through the front door in Building A to the elevator to get to our Soul Care Offices.
