Join LOST CAUSES this Fall as we travel to Uganda, Africa. This will be our 2nd year traveling to Eastern Uganda to visit a rural community in the city of Tororo. Here we will host a medical camp on the campus of a local school. We will have the privilege of serving alongside team members from Calvary. We are looking for medical professionals who want to use their skills to serve in communities that do not normally have access to medical aid and lifesaving treatments. ALL ARE WELCOME, even if you are NOT a medical professional, we would still love to have you serve with us on this mission.
What will we do?
We will be helping to facilitate a medical camp, which can offer a variety of opportunities to serve, from working directly with patients, assisting our doctors/nurses, playing with children, and being available to jump in wherever needed. If you don’t have a medical background, you will either be paired to assist a trained doctor or given training on what you need to know to help with patients. Additionally, you can have a non-medical-related role. Also, we will be hosting a VBS camp for the local children, and we will all have an opportunity to play games, sing songs, perform skits, and just play with the children.
Who can go?
This trip is a good fit for anyone wanting to participate in a ministry that offers tangible healing to individuals. While we have a tangible goal we are accomplishing, the heart of what we are doing is loving on people. This is ideal for mature young teenagers and adults of all ages. Missions are ever-changing, so being flexible with schedules and plans is a must for any mission.
