Emma Fulenwider

Emma is an agent with WordServe Literary Group, representing adult non-fiction that is “funny, nerdy, helpful and true.” A former indie publisher of the Birren Anthologies Onward, Homeward, and The Gift of a Long Life, she continues to provide assisted self-publishing to memoirists in search of a family heirloom book. Emma reviews personal essays for Writer’s Digest and Black Fork Review and is the author of The Toy-Free Home and The Very Busy Writer, which Kirkus deemed a relatable read for writers. She practices writing as a form of worship, and to that end she is pursuing a Master’s of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Ashland University (class of 2027). Emma lives in Sacramento, where she conspires with her husband to raise the two goofiest kids on earth with the help of their mini Australian shepherd. Her greyhound is no help at all.

Her Workshops-

Power-up Your Platform with a Great Author Bio

The author bio is a written version of your headshot and a linchpin of your brand. Using Emma’s five-step template, attendees will gain clarity about their mission as an author and leave with a fresh bio that converts fairweather followers to lifelong fans.

Write Your Testimony, This Time Without Church-Speak

If a biography is everything that has happened to you, memoir is the moments that defined you. For believers, the defining story of our lives is the hour we first believed. In this writing intensive workshop, attendees will dabble in memoir by drafting the story of their conversion in plain language using Isaiah 6 as a template.
