Something that brings us hope and comfort as a believer is knowing God has a plan for our lives. One of the joys of being a believer is discovering and walking out those plans. What we don’t often think about is that we have an enemy who also has a plan for our life. His plans are filled with death and destruction (John 10:10). We live in a sinful and broken world. As such, we will encounter spiritual warfare. Ephesians 6:12 says,”For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” It is impossible to fight spiritual battles by natural means. We need spiritual weapons to help us take authority and dismantle the enemy’s schemes. God has provided powerful resources for us to use as we come against our enemy. The good news, we fight from victory, because Jesus already won the battle when he rose from the dead! As we explore a few of the different weapons of spiritual warfare, take time to ask the Holy Spirit to teach you and train you how to wield each one.
